Be Totally WOWED !!!!!

WOW, Royal Caribbean have only gone and done it again. They have revealed the details of its latest upcoming ship “Quantum of the Seas”, which is due to be launched in Autumn 2014. Her homeport will be at Cape Liberty cruise terminal in Bayonne, New Jersey.

The 167,800-ton, 4,180-passenger ship, will sail 7 and 8 night Bahamas cruises, 8 and 11 night Eastern Caribbean cruises and a 12 night Southern Caribbean Itinerary, for the Winter 2014-15.

This ship looks totally amazing. I just can’t believe some of the new features she will have on board, they are breath-taking. Would you believe she will have what they call the “North Star”, which is a huge crane-operated glass observation pod with a viewing platform that will suspend passengers 300 feet above the ocean, I believe this was inspired by the London Eye. The skydiving simulator called Ripcord, the largest sports complex at sea called SeaPlex and the entertainment hub called Two70°.

This is a little insight of what is to come !!!

Shocking News .......

St Lucia police have arrested three men following the robbery of 55 passengers and 2 crew members from the Celebrity Eclipse, who had been robbed at gunpoint during a shore excursion at Soufriere Botanical Gardens in St Lucia on Friday.

Authorities believe that there were actually four men involved in the robbery at Soufriere Botanical Gardens, during which a tour bus was held up and valuables taken from passengers, a police statement said. "The men systematically searched the guests as well as their belongings. The masked men robbed them of monies, jewellery, cameras and cell phones and escaped in the nearby bushes. Apart from the trauma of the incident, none of the passengers robbed were injured," it said.

Two crew members from Celebrity Cruises' Eclipse vessel were also on the bus along with guests.

A statement from Celebrity Cruises said: "We are thankful that none of our guests were injured in this unfortunate event, and will continue to provide them any support they may need."A vacation is supposed to be filled with fun, rejuvenation and relaxation. An act of crime should not be part of any vacation, and we regret our guests had to experience those events."

This is shocking news, my heart and thoughts go out to all passengers involved.
